Transition Step (UNFINISHED)

Here is my redone Transition step so far, to give you an idea of what direction I was going in and progress.

Saving over stuff is completely understandable in my book. I myself have done that, just part of learning how to save different parts in different places, don't put all of your cookies in one basket.

With what you have right now, it looks pretty good, I like it! The mechanical one has a good sense of depth, but the composition is a little confusing, my eye isn't sure where to go. Part of that problem is that you have a lot of strong lines heading to nothing. I would suggest reworking this so that you lead the viewer into the next panel, and then it would be awesome.

Your natural one has a strong horizon line the leads me to the center ( I am assuming that it goes on the right). It is pretty high key though, which could be hindering your ability to bring the two together. If you knocked that down a bit it would blend easier and fit in the triptych nicely.

It would be nice to see these in a row when your finished too! Keep going, it looks good!

I really like where you are going with the middle panel! I know that you had a major technological challenge (it’s happened to all of us at one point), but at least it happened here in a class (and not on-job).
I can see your idea for the transition and it looks neat. I also like the fact that your images feel almost miniature (like a model railroad--maybe that’s what it was).
Color Palette is really nice (you really pushed the Analogous scheme!)
My only suggestion would be to adjust the edge of the cement platform (leading up to the W-post in mechanical) so that it blurs just a bit more.
